ABOUT ME

My name is Cheryl Neuman Meltzer and I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker.  I specialize in doing psychotherapy with adults, adolescents and children.  I have been practicing in the field doing psychotherapy for over 20 years. 

My specialty is in working with trauma and working with adolescent and young adult identity and transitional life issues.  I have completed Level 1 EMDR Training through the EMDR Institute.
​I also specialize in and offer consultation and supervision to other professionals and enjoy mentoring new professionals entering the field.

Education
  • I received my Masters in Social Work in 1995 from Loyola University of Chicago.​
Past Experience
  • I practiced in community mental health centers and family service centers for the last 20 years.
  • I served as the Director of the Master’s Program at The Institute for Clinical Social Work (ICSW). 
Current
  • I am currently in private practice and have been since 2005.
Licensure
  • ​Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1998, state of Illinois.
