WHAT DOES THERAPY LOOK LIKE?

Usually psychotherapy involves meeting at least weekly with your therapist.  The goals for and time frame of therapy will depend on each individual and their situation. For a particular issue therapy could be short-term or therapy can be longer-term if you are looking to change ingrained patterns in your life.   Things we might discuss during sessions include: current events happening in your life, your personal history that is relevant to your issue, problem solving strategies related to your issues, reporting and discussing progress or difficulty making progress on your issues between sessions.  Sessions are private and confidential and no one will be informed of your attendance or the content of the issues you talk about unless you give me permission.
